Traditional Furniture Inspired by Tuscany
Henredon has always exemplified quality as well as great traditional styles, and the Castellina collection is among their most beautiful. Inspired by the Tuscan wine country and the rustic beauty of the regions nature, the collection is carved with a distressed look for authenticity. Russian walnut, cherry, and American walnut are textured and given a patina for a most stunning look. Castellina is finished by hand in Romanesque, a medium brown, and White Iris a custom color and available only on some of the 45 designs.

Brooklyn is fertile ground for design firms, with both Desu Design and Brave Space calling the thriving borough home. DYAD studio is another “brave” contemporary designer which melds materials such as steel, Lucite and glass into incredibly sleek and unique pieces. Above: the RM Platform Bed is made from 3/4″ stainless steel, with beveled Beverly Hills: Edge / Leather Sofa Setss for style and safety. Although the essential form is nothing new, the use of metal in a satin finish is undeniably sexy.
The Clasp series of tables also utilizes steel; the cantilevered steel frame has built-in clasps that hold the glass top in place. The glass itself is available in translucent black, clear and laminated flavors, while the steel can be linear grained or waxed. Note that DYAD permits a high level of customization in all of its pieces, so other surfaces and finishes are available upon request.
As its name implies, the Exo(skeleton) Shelving System’s stainless steel frame takes center stage, with internal stainless steel filaments that help to anchor the shelving in place. d furnituree in black or white; you can also choose from an assortment of shapes including “tubes” and half- shelves in either rounded or squared varieties.
The Slide and Cross1 tables make heavy use of Lucite and gorgeous Mirror-polished stainless steel. Slide features sliding Lucite panels and an opal glass base, while Cross1 d furnitureposed of two adjustable U-shaped frames with a Lucite cubbie at suspended at their inter section. Architecture Pictures: Manhattan Condominium Project
Archdaily ran a great story on a nine unit condominium project in Manhattan designed by Japanese architect, Shigeru Ban. I have to say that these pictures are fabulous. A neat feature is that these units use retractable shutters. Where some people may argue that a closed up unit may not be that attractive, it is hard to refute its energy savings. Having lived in Florida for a few years with the eminent storms there, shuttered up units do not take that much away from the landscape from my perspective. The inner room pictures feature great home décor and the penthouse terrace is tough to beat in this house design. Via.

It is amazing how fast children can destroy an otherwise organized room. So how do parents keep a room organized? Moreover, how do parents have a room look picked up when company comes over? One idea is to have storage places for toys and other items that children play with frequently. Flowing Shapes from Flou's GrandPiano Bed Series
The GrandPiano from Flou of Italy is "scenographic for people who adore the drama of an important bed." Flou, a leader in cutting Beverly Hills: Edge / Leather Sofa Sets bed designs really went all out on this series that includes three Platform Beds each with their own unique shape of surrounding frame work. Designer Mario Bellini gave the GrandPiano nice rounded curves that includes built in night stands and recessed cut in for ease in getting in and out of this beauty.
The Piano Piano bed is very similar design but has straight surrounding giving up the curves of its counterpart. One more Mario Bellini design combines the previous features of one curved side and one straight side in a break from the usual simply called the Grand Piano Piano

Modern and Minimal Bedroom
I’ve found this beautiful modern and minimal bedroom picture on Yanko design and I think that is a great example. The place is very well organized, not cluttered at all and the design looks awesome. Another thing that is interesting at this bedroom is the furniture, every piece of furniture seems to float. This picture is from imm cologne ( The international furnishing show ) a show where more than 1,300 exhibitors from around 60 countries opened the doors of the global furnishings and design market and gave the 2008 furniture year a strong start.

FINDING DANISH FURNITURE a bit boring, René Hougaard created the Dnmark Lounge Chair specifically with young people in mind. Although “old-school” Danish influences are evident, contemporary design cues abound.
