Get In Touch with Nature: Lin Pod Bench by Atlantico
Atlantico Furniture, part of the De La Espada / Autoban design firm has a " design driven by nature" philosophy as you can see by the plant stand incorporated into the Lin Pod Bench. Personally I could leave the plant behind and use the space to ice down some champagne. This cool little bench with a back that swoops down in one fluid move creates a peaceful atmosphere that connects us more deeply with nature. The 13 new releases from Atlantico are made from solid American White Oak, American Cherry, and American Black Walnut cut into planks of varying widths based on the best use of planks available. Atlantico's furniture benefits from a painstaking attention to detail and a purity of lines that are a tribute to their long-standing Beverly Hills: Passion / Leather Bedrooms for minimalism. Bicycle Trailers on Loan at IKEA
IKEA of Denmark is now starting a new concept at their Danish stores. After they made a survey and found that 20 percent of its customers arrived by bike, the IKEA outside of Copenhagen has hooked up with the Danish Freetrailer service to offer (relatively free) Velorbis bikes with trailers to customers. IKEA has invested in Velorbis bikes, at a couple of their stores, that will pull trailers so that customers can ride home with the new purchases.
To borrow a bike and trailer bike users must put down a deposit of about U.S. 100 and can then choose to pay for a seven dollar insurance policy for each loan or be liable for the larger amount in costs if the bike is damaged or stolen. A bike with trailer can be loaned for more than one day to give you time to return it. I really like this idea, because with this simple move IKEA shows that they cares about their customers and also about the environment. - Via
Ultra Modern House on Australia Gold Coast
This ultra contemporary house is located in the Paradise Point suburb of Australia’s Gold Coast. I love how this house looks from the outside, but I don’t know why the interior reminds me of a shopping mall, huge …with so little things in it. The 14-room house is thoughtfully planned to offer open-concept social spaces and private spaces. The spacious mail level Mirrors the modern and geometric elements of the home’s exterior, with high ceilings, simple lines and lots of natural light to flood every corner. As for functionality, this home has it all in its four bedrooms, four bathrooms and six-car parking.

Toscano has a great selection of furniture that I could really make use of, and I always wanted to play bartender. Modern Chaise Lounge Shaped Like a Tongue
I don't associate the human tongue with furniture design in any way. You can therefore understand my surprise at this modern chaise lounge I came across. This chaise is a tongue! An interesting design, this piece of furniture does have the rolls and inclines that you would need to properly recline your body at the right positions. I can't help but think of the Rolling Stones when I see this chair since a tongue is a common logo for the classic rock n' roll band. This piece would also be perfect at a museum for children showing the history of the human body as an educational piece. Product: here.
Vanessa Hadaway: Balmoral Residence
The Balmoral is a private residence with a beautifully structured interior that is very elegantly furnished with most of the interior decorations using a black and white tone in all its rooms, creating a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. The same thing happens in the bedroom - extending to a green terrace, which looks simple in appearance yet comfortable in feeling.
