More Hanging Lights from Schonbek's Geometrix Series
Here are two more hanging lights from the Geometrix series from Schonbek lighting. As you can see the Strass crystals really make this high tech lighting line shimmer with brilliant elegance. House 108 by H Arquitectes
The House 108 is designed by H Arquitectes and is located on a sloping hillside in Girona, Spain. The house adapts to its natural setting, following the inclination to the hillside. Still being in one of the most virgin zones of the Brave Coast, the Rosamar urbanization characterizes by a mixture of tipologías of constructions and autoconstrucciones of low architectonic interest and high landscaping impact.
In response, the project has the possibility to carry out the minimum possible ecological track in a parcel with strong slope and thick Mediterranean vegetation. THE BIRD FIGURINES MARKET may not interest most of our readers, but Oiva Toikka’s birds are much sleeker than anything you’ll find at your local giftshop. Established in the 1940’s, Karimoku is the biggest woo d furniture maker in Japan. The K-Chair Mini is a scaled-down version of the flagship mid-mod armchair. It’s made of walnut-stained, sustainably harvested, rubberwood and black vinyl. There aren’t any kid-sized side tables, though, so this would sit cutely, if a little forlornly, by itself. In conclusion if you want a piece of stylish and modern piece of furniture for your kid this might be a gret choice although I don’t think that a beautiful piece of furniture like this will resit to much in a Kids Room. Beautiful Wave Sculptures
I think that these Wave Sculptures are quite impressing. They are made by Paul DeSomma and his wife, Marsha Blaker also internationally known for her glass and ceramic art, have a studio in Live Oak, CA. where they create both individually and collaboratively. Very realistic, this little small wave has a lot of details that make him so beautiful. You can see more sculptures here.

The Laser Created Riddled Modern Cupboard from Horm of Italy
I am looking at design objects all the time so it can be hard to be surprised since so much design is interpretations of styles created in the past. The "Riddled Front Cupboard" from Horm of Italy caught my attention this morning. First off the visual appeal is amazing on this piece as I am drawn into the wood work of the modern cupboard. To create a surface in the walnut veneer as Horn has done, they used laser technology to cut into the wood to create the riddled surface. Some of the pictures show light coming from inside the cupboard which appears strange, but is due to the fact that there are lights inside which create a unique illuminated appeal. This piece only comes in walnut veneer, but is available in a white or black matt lacquered surface. I have included a pictured of their non-riddled version as a point of comparison.
