Villa Bio is a really interesting house project that caught my attention. This project was created by architect Enric Ruiz-Geli. Usually most homes impress us with beautiful interior design, furnishings and all kind of high tech gadgets. In this case I was impressed by a thing that usually is not designed to impress …the ROOF. Asking the Readers

First Zero-Emission Home Unveiled

The UK has unveiled its first zero emission home that will set the environmental standard for all new homes in the future. The two- bedroom house is insulated to lose 60% less heat than a normal home. It also features solar panels, a biomass boiler and water efficiency devices such as rainwater harvesting. The design, unveiled at the Offsite 2007 exhibition in Watford, meets rules to be applied in 2016 that aim to make UK homes more energy-efficient. - Read more on BBC

Bedroom Is Easier With a Rotating Bed
The New York Times shows us that Broadway director Jack O’Brien had a not uncommon concern when he built a home in New Milford, he couldn’t decide where to position his bed in the master bedroom. To solve this problem, Jack O’Brie hired a set- designer friend who came up with a rotating bed in the middle of the room. Just press a button and the bed turns to face the fireplace, above. Press the button again and the bed faces the windows, below. The pictures below illustrate how this rotating bed works. I know that a video would showed us more clearly how this bed works, but unfortunately we have only pics.
